Augury

 

Augury is the practice from ancient Roman religion of interpreting omens from the observed behavior of birds.

I only heard about this word a few weeks ago but I’ve now had three distinct messages come through from watching birds.

The first was a couple of years ago watching a flock in flight and the message was “soon you will be able to read the language of flight”

The next was earlier this autumn observing an Osprey. Interestingly I was above the Osprey and able to watch it flying from a bird’s eye view, “you’ll receive more of what you want but you will miss the simplicity of the way things have been.”

The third was the other evening when I walked to watch the sun go down and a crow circled above me. The sunlight reflected off the underside of its glossy feathers and the bird became golden for a fine moment and in that moment I received the message “it’s closer than you think”
